  1. What is I-Relay?

    I-Relay is a comprehensive web-based client relationship management (CRM) and marketing solution providing a full range of tools necessary to market and manage a variety of client, agencies, carriers, and other relationships. I-Relay was built from the ground up for the Insurance and Finance professional to be used by a producer or group of producers in an agency to more effectively manage their sales and back office processes.

  2. What are all of the fees that apply when buying I-Relay?

    I-Relay is purchased on a per user basis with a monthly subscription.  We try to keep the pricing simple without exurbanite setup and training fees.  See our rate card for all related fees and services. 

    Special Notes regarding fees, payments, and cancellations.

    Payment for less than ten (10) users is billed to your credit credit along with any other fees that may apply.  

    Users licenses are billed on a quarterly basis.  New users or users you remove from your account during the period will be pro-rated.  You may cancel your account at any time without penalty.  No refunds will be given for payments made at the point of cancellation regardless of what point in the quarter cancellation is requested.

    Setups, training, conversion, and any custom programming fees that you incur are non- refundable at the point they are charged.

  3. Is my data mine and can I take it with me if I leave I-Relay?

    Your data is yours.  I-Relay will not resell it, or provide access to it  to any individual you do not authorize in writing. Most of your data may be exported at any time in a comma delimited format.  We will also provide a back-up copy of your data upon request if you decide to terminate your agreement with us.

  4. What Managing General Agencies and IMO's can I get pending case status downloads from?

    I-Relay currently has the ability to update your system with Pending case status downloads from more than 400 of the countries most respected Managing General Agencies.  Once I-Relay is setup for you an automated process will update your system with any historical business you have done with any of our supported agencies.  Going forward updates on pending business will take place in a real-time format.

    Today, I-Relay supports Life, Long Term Care, Disability, Health, Annuities, Securities, and Property and Casualty.  All products have unique screens to capture data on that product to ensure you get exactly what you need.

  6. Do I need a user ID for everyone in my office?

    We require that you have a user id for anyone that will need access to I-Relay.  Having a user ID for each person accessing the system offers you better security of your data, tracking ability by date and time stamp, and the ability to manage activities and task more efficiently.  If you wish to receive pending case status updates from our supported General Agencies the Writing Agents in your office must have a user id. Sharing of ID's is strictly prohibited and may result in the termination of your account

  8. How secure is my data?

  9. Does I-Relay offer multi levels of hierarchy for more than one office location?

    Yes, I-Relay can support multiple levels in a hierarchy. The system is designed to support anywhere from one to fifty thousand levels.  Our largest supported customer currently has more than 11,000 levels in their hierarchy.

  10. Is there an off-line version available?

    No, there is no off-line version that does not require you to be connected to the Internet for access.  There are many reasons behind this decision.  1)  Ease of use for our customer.  Being Internet based means no hardware to buy, no updates to worry about, no version conflicts, and no technical expertise required to run the tools.  2) Security of your data.  More and more carriers are requiring tighter guidelines for sensitive customer data.  Most producers do not have technical expertise to manage the encryption processes or want to upfront the expense of buying additional software as add-ons to currently available systems. 3) Access to data.  Allowing your data to be accessed over the internet ensures that you can manage your business from home, the office, or the road without limitations.  4) Disaster Recovery.  Your I-Relay tool is redundantly backed-up and is supported by a full disaster recover plan that is tested twice annually.  Most producers cannot maintain such a program and risk loss of data in the event of natural disaster, a fire, or theft of their laptop or desktop equipment.

  11. What is your up-time so I may access my data?

    I-Relay has experienced less than 45 minutes of unexpected down time in the past three years.  Our goal is to provide 24x7 access with the exception of our regularly scheduled maintenance periods.  Maintenance periods are no greater than once per month and users are notified three to five days prior as a reminder.

  12. Does I-Relay have a calendar that I can share with others in my office?

    I-Relay has incorporated Google's calendar giving you the ability to create multiple calendars, share them with other users and synchronize calendar events with your outlook automatically.

  14. Is there a contract I need to sign?

     

    No, there is no contract that you must sign.  Before logging on to I-Relay the first time you will be prompted to accept a end user license which provides information about your rights a user, your limitations, and that your data is held confidential at a all times.

  15.  What type of Internet connection do I need?

 

Any type of Internet connection will work.  Keep in mind the faster the connection the better.  We do have many users still using dial up connections and manage sufficiently.  Most of our individual user clients access via a DSL or Cable network which provides more than enough speed and resources to accommodate I-Relay

  16. Is there any training for me to learn the system?

 

Yes, I-Relay offers three ways of getting started.  1) by completing the self guided training sessions that are offered in the resources area of I-Relay.  2) We offer free, web-based, training for you and your office.   3)  We offer free refresher trainings every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Please ask your Project Manager for details. 4) Periodically each month I-Relay offers web based boot camps on specific areas of the system that allow you to gain better insight on the functionality and ideas on different ways to use the system.

 

We offer FREE weekly group sessions that you may attend.  Ask your sales representative or project manager for additional details.

  17.  Is there any ongoing support if I need it?

 

Yes, I-Relay offers ongoing support to meet your needs.  We offer unlimited help desk support for the first ninety days after the system has been setup for you.  The package that you select for you agency will depend on the amount of on-going support you can receive at no additional cost after the first 90 days.

  18.  Can I import contacts into I-Relay from other systems?

 

Yes, I-Relay provides a wizard type approach that allows you to import new contacts at any time.  Historical business may also be imported into the system by the I-Relay helpdesk for a fee.  If you wish to have historical business imported please call us at 800.908.9707 for additional details.

  19.  Can I market out of I-Relay to customers and prospects?

 

Yes, I-Relay has a robust set of marketing tools that allow you to design letters, drip marketing campaigns, business rules, and run lists based on a set of criteria.  You will learn more on how to use the marketing tools in the on-line training sessions that are available in the resources section of I-Relay.
